Diana - Moscow, RU
While her life story would suggest otherwise Diana is only 18 years old. She grew up in Ukraine, moved al by herself to London at the age of 13 to go to a boarding school and left to Moscow at the age of 15. And Moscow is probably just another stop on her journey.
Diana’s contagious energy and her somewhat innocent appearance conceal a form of hystobrifilia, better known as the “Bonnie and Clyde Syndrome”, where Diana feels physically attracted to immoral behaviour. Maybe this fruitarian is a bit the odd fruit in the bowl. Sometimes, at the most unexpected moments, similar realizations strikes her. But when feeling dazed and confused, the surroundings of a church always helps to calms her down. This melting pot of emotions reveals in her paintings, her dances and her performing art.
While photographing Diana I noticed some interesting tattoos. She told me she did them herself, stick &poke. The next day she tattooed the word Шуба on me, a reference to the Russian herring salad; a personal favourite, which connected us for all time to come.
